House Training And Punishment

You must control your temper while you’re house training a puppy, or even an adult dog that hasn’t been house trained properly.

Punishing or scolding your dog is pointless unless you actually catch him red-handed.

If you do catch him relieving himself inside, say “No” firmly and take your puppy to a designated spot where he knows he’s allowed to relieve himself. He will soon learn that he is meant to relieve himself in this place only.

You can easily prevent most house training accidents from happening by constantly keeping an eye on your puppy.

If nobody is around to keep an eye on him, then he should be in the crate.
